High School Diving

High School Swimming and Diving in the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area is well known and highly respected around the United States. Olympic Medalists, national and international champions, as well countless state champions and record holders have made their names while representing their high school in swimming and diving meets going back decades.

The high school swimming and diving season in Ohio and Kentucky runs from late October to the end of February. Indiana divides the girl's and boy's seasons into Fall and Winter sports, with the men competing in the Fall, and the women in the Winter.

High School teams compete in dual, tri and quad competitions against other local and regional schools, with larger invitational meets attracting swimmers and divers from all over the tri-state and beyond. The season culminates with the High School State Championships.

The tri-state area is a hot bed of talent, with college coaches flocking to the area to recruit swimmers and divers, leading to numerous successful, and legendary athletic careers.

The long history of success from local swimmers and divers can be traced to the large number of high school swimming and diving teams, summer swim clubs, YMCA teams, USS Teams and AAU Teams in the area. There are numerous cities around the country that are much larger than Cincinnati, but do not have half the number of teams and clubs that are found in the area.
